The YL Boosters ... a New Way to Change Lives!

YOU can be a YL Booster!

You can provide much needed support to the Young Life team AT YOUR SCHOOL!

YL Boosters are needed for every one of our Young Life programs in Merced County. A YL Booster can be a teacher, a coach, a parent, or someone from the community who wants to support Young Life at a school but who doesn't have the time or energy to be a regular volunteer. YL Boosters provide "ON CALL" assistance to their club by helping meet specific needs as they are able. One week it could be scooping ice cream, the next week it could be helping with a fund-raising car wash, and the next it could be saying a prayer from your sofa. YL Boosters are free to help as their schedule and energy level allows. The more YL Boosters a local school has, the stronger the overall program will become.

If you are a YL Booster for your school, the Young Life team leader from that school will keep you informed regularly via e-mail of needs and ways you can help. Say YES when you can, say NO when you can't ... no meetings, no regular commitments, just a willingness to be available when you can.

Current YL Booster teams exist for:

  • Delhi High
  • Merced High
  • Golden Valley High
  • Livingston High
  • Hoover Middle
  • Cruikshank Middle
  • YoungLives

The YL Mission Team

Be a part of making Young Life happen in Merced County!

The YL Mission Team is a group of adults who are absolutely sold out to the mission of YL (to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith). These caring adults may not actually lead Club or do Contact work with kids, but they do whatever it takes to make it possible for others to do so well. From prayer support to fund-raising to volunteer leader care, the people who make up the Mission Team make Young Life happen.

In Merced County, our Mission Team provides support to all current YL ministries in our area. They also are striving to launch new ministries throughout our county. This happens as they ...
  • Build relationships with local churches
  • Spread the word of YL to area businesses and leaders
  • Help recruit new ministry volunteers
  • Lead the effort to raise the necessary funds to staff the area, provide great Clubs, get kids to Woodleaf, and care for volunteer leaders.
These folks matter! And the door is ALWAYS OPEN for new members.  To learn more about our Mission Team and how you can join us, contact us now.
