Give to Young Life

A Vision to Reach the Young People of Merced County

Over 40,000 adolescents currently live in Merced County.  Featuring both large schools (2000+ at Merced, Golden Valley, and Los Banos HS) and moderate size schools (Le Grand, Hilmar, Dos Palos), our county is diverse in its population, ethnicity, and economics.  Yet there is one thing every kid shares in common ... they are loved by God.  We believe the have a right to know it.

Our dream, our vision for Merced County, is simple yet huge.  We dream of the day when every young person, middle school through college-age, has the opportunity both to know that Jesus loves them and to grow in a relationship with Him.  Their response to this opportunity is up to them ... the responsibility to present is up to us.  Young Life Merced County believes this dream can become a reality, and now is the perfect time to see it happen.

2010 was the year that marked the beginning of Young Life in Merced County.  Within 10 years, it is our goal to see Young Life making an impact on every high school and middle school campus in the county.  This may be through direct ministry, or it may be through supporting other ministries or church efforts.  It is our belief that EVERY YOUNG PERSON has the right to know that Jesus loves them, and so our vision is that every adolescent would have the opportunity to know His love and grow in a relationship with Him.

Join with us.  Together, we can change this community as we spread the saving love of Jesus Christ one kid at a time.

Your Support is Critical

Though Young Life is a global movement, each local area is entirely dependant upon the financial gifts of individual supporters from it's community.  Your donation helps provide the resources necessary to launch new Young Life ministries at area high schools and middle schools.  It also enables Young Life to hire and train staff and volunteers for the work to which God has called them.  Every penny is carefully managed and spent with our vision of reaching every adolescent in our county in mind.

Examples of monthly expenses ...

  • Club / Campus Outreach Expenses
  • Volunteer Training & Development
  • Staff, Insurance, and training
  • Young Life resources and support
  • Administrative expenses
